Leanne Stogsdill joined the Whatcom County Public Defender’s Office in March of 2014. Prior to that she worked for six years at the Public Defender’s Office in Orange County, California, where she served as the lead defense attorney in criminal and dependency matters with full oversight of investigation, motions practice, and trial litigation. She has defended clients charged with serious and violent felonies up to and including Class A offenses. Leanne holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and a juris doctor from the George Washington University Law School. She was the first in her family to graduate from college.
