Search Files

Search Files

The Search Files tab allows you to search through all the details of Agenda Bill Files that are in the Legistar database. You can also click Advanced Search. To see the difference between simple and advanced search, see Simple and Advanced Search

To do a simple search:
  • (Optional) Enter keywords in the Search textbox or to find a file type in the Agenda Bill number with AB, the year, and the number. EX: AB2019-135
  • Select a date range from the Date Range drop-down menu
  • Select the type of file from the Type drop-down menu
  • Select the appropriate checkboxes to search file #, text, attachments, or other information
  • The other info checkbox searches secondary fields related to the file, such as status or file type
  • Click Search Files to display the search results
USER HINT: To clear the search criteria and start over, click the Search Files tab

USER HINT: To search for adopted/approved ordinances/resolutions type Ord or Res in the search bar and filter by the time period. Search.
Meeting Information

Meeting Information

The Meeting Information tab displays meetings in a specific date range for selected meeting bodies, using the criteria entered in the Search textbox. It has two views: List View and Calendar View. Sign up for Alerts

List View
displays the meetings in the specified date range in list form and has the following search options:
  • (Optional) Enter a Search term that would appear anywhere in the list in the Search textbox
  • Select a date range from the Date Range drop-down menu
  • Select a meeting body from the Meeting Bodies drop-down menu
  • Select the notes checkbox to include agenda and action notes. Click Search Meeting Information to display the search results
  • To sort the list, click Group, and select the appropriate option
Calendar View displays the meetings in the specified date range in calendar form. You can view the calendar by day, week, month, or timeline.

Meeting Bodies

Meeting Bodies

The Meeting Bodies tab is a direct link to information about each committee or the Council. It consists of two subtabs: Details and Reports.

Email the Council

In the Details subtab you can choose a meeting body from the Meeting Body drop-down list and:
  • View the Meeting Information 
  • View the Meeting Members (see more detail below)
  • View the Sponsored Legislation
In the List View you can:
  • Sort the meetings by clicking Group and selecting an appropriate option
  • Export the records to Excel, PDF, or Word
  • Set a date range by clicking Date and selecting the appropriate date range
The Reports subtab contains a list of uploaded reports associated with the selected legislative body. Click the appropriate link to view a report.
Meeting Members

Meeting Members

​The Meeting Members tab is a subtab of the Meeting Bodies tab and contains a list of each member of a body based on the parameters you set in the Meeting Body drop-down menu. 

 In the Meeting Members subtab you can access:
  • Term information for each meeting member
  • The meeting bodies each has served or is serving on
  • Bio information
  • Legislation each has supported 
  • To add a meeting to your computer's calendar click on the green calendar icon
  • To be alerted of upcoming topics, create your search parameters and click on the Alerts icon on the top right of the window
  • All meeting bodies are tentatively listed for each Council meeting date for the whole year. When the agenda is published for a meeting date, it will then show meeting times and the actual committees that will be meeting, and each of those will have an active agenda link.
