Finding Housing

Adults in need of housing services can get help through the Coordinated Entry System operated by the Whatcom Homeless Service Center.

  • Through the coordinated entry system you will be screened for eligibility.  You will then be connected with the housing agencies that can serve you best.
  • Apply in-person at the Whatcom Homeless Service Center at 1111 Cornwall Avenue.
  • You can visit the Whatcom Homeless Service Center if you still have housing but are worried that you might lose your housing. There are services to help you avoid losing your home.

If you are under the age of 25, you may apply for services directly with Northwest Youth Services.

  • If you need a place to stay tonight, the Lighthouse Mission provides emergency shelter for adults who are age 18 or older. If you are under the age of 18, visit Northwest Youth Services for a safe place to sleep.
