Whatcom County Planning and Development Services experienced a reduction in staff last year. In order to better serve the public we have been working on some internal changes including staff training, streamlining processes, and restructuring staffing at the front counter.
In our efforts to continuously improve here at PDS, we have added a few new items to our website to make it easier for you to stay informed:
- A calendar page outlining current & upcoming events
- The SEPA page for easy to find current State Environmental Policy Act status’
- The Gateway Pacific Terminal page to provide historic & current information regarding this project
- The 2011 Unified Fee Schedule (Planning & Development Services Portion) has been added to our Applications / Forms page, to make it easier to find.
Our offices are located at 5280 Northwest Drive, Bellingham, WA 98226.
- The Permit Center hours are from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We have staff available to answer general questions relating to zoning and building permits during those times.
- For more specific Current Planning questions please visit our office during our Current Planning counter hours from 8:30 am - Noon, Monday through Friday.
