Hannegan Road Pavement Rehabilitation
CRP # 913001
Whatcom County Public Works and Granite Construction Company have been working this summer to complete a 4 mile pavement rehabilitation project on the Hannegan Road, from approximately 1.5 miles south of the Lynden City Limits (Scott Ditch Bridge #245) to Hemmi Road.
Construction started at the beginning of August 2013, and except for a week suspension associated with the NW Washington Fair in Lynden, was anticipated to end in September; however, we are now into October 2013.
The delay on project completion is associated with a very 'damp' September, as well as corrections to construction deficiencies. We are striving to finish the remaining work by late October, but some of this will be highly-dependent on the weather. The public should continue to expect delays within the project limits as we work to complete construction activities.
We appreciate your patience with traffic delays and the project feedback to date. We commit to updating this web posting weekly, or sooner, if conditions change.
