Detective Division 
The Detective Division specializes in investigations of
major crimes. In the event of a major incident within the
county, the detectives are called to the crime scene and work
together with patrol to develop the case. The investigation
is then assigned to a single detective for any follow-up work.
Breakdown of Detective Unit
- Detective Sergeant
- 1 Property Crimes Detective
- 6 Combination Child Abuse and Major Crime Detectives
- 1 Sex Offender Registration Detective
 Currently, two Detectives are certified polygraph examiners.
This expertise aids in investigations and pre-employment
screening. There is also one Detective who is a certified forensic computer examiner.
