COVID-19 mobile testing at Civic Field in Bellingham closed all of Monday due to poor air quality

Bellingham, WA - Due to unhealthy air quality, Whatcom Unified Command, upon public health recommendation by the Whatcom County Health Department, has decided to close the drive-through testing operations today.

Dr. Greg Stern, Whatcom County Health Officer, recommended that testing be postponed in order to protect those scheduled for testing, as well as staff, from unhealthy air quality.

The testing scheduled today from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Civic Field at 1355 Civic Field Way in Bellingham is cancelled.

Yesterday, Whatcom Unified Command cancelled this morning’s testing from 9 a.m. to noon and, upon reviewing updated air quality forecasting, has cancelled this afternoon’s testing from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. as well.

Those with appointments for today should go to the TestDirectly.com website to reschedule for another convenient time and location.

Those who have been notified to quarantine or isolate pending completion of COVID testing are requested to continue proper quarantine or isolation protocols until completion of a COVID test and receipt of negative testing results.

For any changes to the testing schedule please monitor this website - whatcomcounty.us/covidtesting - or the Health Department Facebook page.
