In 2014, Whatcom County acquired the Birch Bay Community Park property. The site located at 7930 Birch Bay Drive includes 4 acres of uplands and approximately 8 acres of tidelands. Water access is a primary feature of the community park, but other desired improvements include parking, restrooms, picnic areas and plenty of open space to host seasonal community events.

At this first of three planned meetings. Parks & Recreation Staff will present a brief overview of the project, challenges and opportunities involved in the planning effort. Please come and share your ideas and vision for the new park.

When: Saturday, August 6th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Where: Birch Bay Bible Community Church, 4460 Bay Rd., Blaine, WA

A second community meeting to present alternatives for the new park has been scheduled for Wednesday August 31st at 6:00 p.m and will also be held at Birch Bay Community Bible Church, 4460 Bay Rd., Blaine, WA
